How Does Medical Weight Loss Work?
Semaglutide is a prescription medication designed to support weight loss, helping you become the healthiest version of yourself. When used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, these treatments may be just what you need to reach your weight loss goals.
Research shows that these peptide therapies can result in significant weight loss for those who qualify. They mimic the effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone involved in regulating appetite. By activating GLP-1 receptors in the brain, Semaglutide helps curb hunger and increase feelings of fullness, leading to reduced food intake.
Benefits
- Significant Weight Reduction: Clinical studies have shown that these therapies can result in substantial weight loss compared to placebo.
- Improved Metabolic Health: Beyond weight loss, these treatments can help improve metabolic markers, like a reduced waist circumference.
- Sustainable Results: The weight loss effects are long-lasting, making these therapies a strong choice for long-term weight management.
The DRIPBaR offers proprietary formulations with added vitamins to support your weight loss journey, providing results similar to popular options like Wegovy and Ozempic.
Is Peptide Therapy For Weight Loss Right for You?
Semaglutide is designed for individuals with a BMI of 27 or greater. Before starting the program, your Drip Specialist will conduct a consultation to discuss your weight loss goals, medical history, and any existing conditions to determine if peptide therapy is suitable for you.
Using Peptide Therapy Safely for Weight Loss
Dosage & Administration: Your Drip Specialist will determine the appropriate dosage, which is administered subcutaneously at The DRIPBaR on a weekly basis.
Possible Side Effects: While generally well-tolerated, some may experience mild side effects such as nausea or diarrhea. Notify your healthcare provider if symptoms persist.

Program Requirements & Structure
Lab Work Required: A Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP), Lipid Panel, HgA1C, and fasting insulin are needed. Previous lab results are accepted if they are within 90 days, and all labs are reviewed by the Medical Director for approval.
Weekly Visits: During weekly visits, your vitals (BP, heart rate, temperature) will be monitored, and a weigh-in will assess weight, BMI, and body composition. The subcutaneous injection is administered weekly by an RN, ideally on the same day each week. If a dose is missed, administer it within 5 days, or resume your regular schedule if more than 5 days have passed.
12-16 Week Program: Dosages of Semaglutide start low and are gradually increased every 4 weeks based on your progress and tolerance. Common side effects include constipation and nausea. If you are already on this medication, contact us for transition details and pricing.
